Harold Perrineau for 'CSI: NY'

Former OZ star Harold Perrineau has signed for a guest starring spot on CSI: NY.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the actor will feature as a death row inmate on a future episode of the series.

Perrineau's character will reportedly find himself fighting for his life after being trapped in a prison riot at the same time as Hill Harper's Hawkes.

The events of the episode apparently force Hawkes to come to terms with a secret from his past.

The instalment featuring Perrineau is to air in April.
