Entertainment Weekly says that Newton, who previously starred as Amanda in Ugly Betty, will join the cast of Love Bites.
The hour-long romantic comedy will be executive produced by Sex And The City's Cindy Chupack and will follow three stories of love, dating and marriage in each episode.
Newton will allegedly star as Annie, a hopeless romantic and a virgin.
