According to The Hollywood Reporter, Cook will star in Nirvana, about two Indian-American brothers living in the US who clash with their controlling parents.
The 30-year-old has signed to play the live-in American girlfriend of one of the brothers.
The She's All That star recently recurred on USA network dramedy Psych.
