Dermot Mulroney joins 'Rockford' update

The original series aired from 1974 to 1980 and featured James Garner in the lead role.
House creator David Shore announced in July that he is developing an updated version of the show.
Entertainment Weekly reports that he has now cast Mulroney in Garner's role of detective Jim Rockford.
The project will be Mulroney's first major job in series television.
