ABC 'may poach Old Christine from CBS'

ABC president Steve McPherson has hinted that the network is still interested in acquiring The New Adventures Of Old Christine.

The Julia Louis-Dreyfus comedy currently resides at CBS, but recent reports suggest that the Eye network may drop the show at the end of the season.

"We love Julia, we love the show and we'd love to be in business with her," McPherson told The Hollywood Reporter.

Last season, ABC offered Christine a back-up deal which guaranteed that it would return if CBS neglected to renew it.
