Jimmy Smits to head up NBC drama pilot

The former LA Law cast member will portray a Supreme Court Justice who quits the court to head a private practice, says The Hollywood Reporter.
The untitled project comes from Conan O'Brien's production company Conaco and is written by My Own Worst Enemy producer John Eisendrath.
Smits received an Emmy nomination in 2008 for his season-long arc on Showtime's Dexter.
