'Dollhouse' star Tudyk for 'Rockford' role

The Firefly actor will join Dermot Mulroney in the pilot, an update of the 1970s detective series, says The Hollywood Reporter. House creator David Shore is producing the project.
Mulroney will portray cynical detective Jim Rockford in the pilot. James Garner played the character in the original series.
Tudyk will star as Rockford's friend Detective Dennis Becker.
The 38-year-old also had recurring roles in Fox's Dollhouse and ABC's V.
