The movie centres on a research scientist (Roberts) who creates a hybrid shark/octopus creature as a military weapon. The creature escapes and attacks beach-goers at a Mexican resort.
The film is scheduled to air at the end of this year.
Roberts had a supporting role in The Dark Knight and was a regular on the TV series Crash.
