Jon Voight joins Fox's 'Midland'

Jon Voight has reportedly signed to star in Fox drama pilot Midland.

The 71-year-old will join co-star David Keith in the project, says The Hollywood Reporter.

Midland revolves around Bob (Jimmy Wolk), a man involved with two women (Adrianne Palicki, Eloise Mumford) from two different cities in Texas.

Voight will play the father of one of the women. The character is described as a "Texas legend" who dresses like a cowboy.

(500) Days of Summer director Marc Webb is helming the pilot.
