Betty White boards 'Hot in Cleveland'

Comedic actress Betty White has officially signed for a role in TV Land's Hot in Cleveland.

According to Cinemablend, the 88-year-old will join co-stars Valerie Bertinelli, Wendie Malick and Jane Leevs in the new series.

The project centres on a group of friends who visit Cleveland and decide to stay. White will play Elka Ostrovsky, the caretaker of a house the women rent.

TV Land is expected to premiere the series in June.
