'Scare Tactics' picked up for season four

Scare Tactics has been picked up for a 13-episode fourth season by Syfy.

The show centres on people who set up their friends in hidden camera pranks and try to scare them.

30 Rock star Tracy Morgan will be coming back to host, but this series he is also an executive producer.

"We're ecstatic to be bringing back Scare Tactics for another season to all our die-hard Syfy reality fans," said Mark Stern, executive vice-president of original programming at Syfy.

"Tracy has his finger on the pulse when it comes to comedy and having him on board as executive producer just adds another layer to the huge success of our show."

Co-creator Scott Hallock added: "First, having Tracy on board is huge. Second, Kevin and I have already started working with our writers on innovations that will make season four our biggest, scariest and most hilarious yet."
