Abdul backs out of 'Star Search' deal?

The former American Idol judge had apparently signed on as a judge for the upcoming season of the competition series.
However, Abdul's insistence that she be paid more than $5m (£3.2m) a year brought negotiations to a halt, says The Hollywood Reporter.
Her departure is thought to have put the show's fate in doubt.
Last year, Abdul also rejected a $5m a year offer from Fox to continue on Idol.
