Jaime Pressly recruited for CBS comedy

Jaime Pressly is to lead the cast of an untitled CBS comedy pilot.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the sitcom comes from Carter Bays and Craig Thomas, who are the co-creators of How I Met Your Mother.

The plot centres on an unmarried couple, Tommy (Kyle Bornheimer) and Gina, and their friends in Pittsburgh.

Pressly will play Tommy's friend and co-worker at the local zoo.

This marks the TV return of Pressly, who won an Emmy for her role on My Name is Earl.
