FX president confirms bid to save 'Damages'

According to Entertainment Weekly, Lendgraf backed up earlier reports that his network was meeting with DirecTV in an attempt to share the cost of production.
"Sony is talking to DirecTV," he announced.
"But it's a show that has always struggled from a ratings standpoint. I think that’s because it’s so complicated. It takes an incredible amount of devotion and an incredible attention span to watch it."
However, he added that the price-tag for production is what really hurt the show.
"It's a fairly expensive show to produce,” he noted. "One of the reasons we’ve been able to keep it going for three years is because it’s done very well globally."
