Bravo, a US cable channel, has announced plans to stream five-minute long "webisodes" on the Internet to augment a new TV show, Sports Kids Mums and Dads.
"This is the first time we can deliver an entire, extra storyline that plays out on-line, over the course of the series," said Lauren Zalaznick, Bravo president. "We're excited to invite viewers into BravoTV.com to see how the character 'lives' on-line as a complement to the on-air experience."
The idea of using new media to provide content supplemental to TV shows is not new: "mobisodes" of Fox's 24 were available to Vodafone customers here in the UK earlier this year.
