The Cape, an action hero show for NBC, features ER star David Lyons as a policeman who is framed for a crime and takes on an alter-ego in an attempt to clear his name.
"I think it's the second-highest budget for a pilot of all time," Jones told What's On TV. "It's like £10 million ($15 million) or something.
"I've just finished the pilot actually. [It's] an action hero TV show for NBC and I think I wore myself out there all week."
He added: "I play Scales. I have all this stuff on my face and it is really good!"
Last month, reports claimed that Jones wants to work on a remake of the 1981 football war film Escape To Victory.
