The teen drama, based on the 1999 film of the same name featuring Julia Stiles and Heath Ledger, is allegedly suffering from falling ratings.
Executive producer Carter Covington wrote on Twitter: "If you love the show, make some NOISE! #save10things.
"Thx to all the fans who are RT [retweeting] #save10THINGS! you guys rock. show is on the bubble and we need all the eyeballs we can get!"
He added: "Show still has a good chance at a pick up if we can show them how much fans love it!"
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Covington explained that ABC Family "hasn't said much either way" about the future of the series.
"[But] they know how competitive the timeslot is," he continued. "I know they love the show, but our ratings continue to slide week to week. I'm hoping our vocal and passionate fanbase can let them know how much they love 10 Things."
However, ABC Family claimed that they have not yet made a decision on the future of the programme.
A spokesperson said: "We are four episodes into the run of ten all-new episodes and no decision has been made about any futher pick-up."
10 Things I Hate About You continues Mondays at 8/7c on ABC Family.
