Webster, who plays Caleb Brewer in the CW show, told On The Red Carpet that he hopes the programme is renewed.
"I have not heard yet," he said. "I mean, I'm hoping it does [get renewed]. I thought it was a great show and I'm hoping for the fans that it comes back because I think people are really liking it."
Brewer also said that the decision should not be based on ratings because they can be misleading.
"I know it's deceiving these days when you watch shows," he explained. "Everybody watches everything on TiVo, so it's hard to get what the true numbers are. That's all advertisers really care about, so you want to give a show like that a chance to really build up a little more of a viewership."
Last month, Webster's co-star Thomas Calabro claimed that the programme will return.
