'Mentalist' Yeoman hints at Red John return

The Mentalist star Owain Yeoman has revealed that Red John will return in upcoming episodes.

Yeoman, who plays Wayne Rigsby in the show, told Zap2It that the serial killer will be a big part of the programme in the future.

"We've got some fantastic Red John stuff coming up," he said. "For the first time since the pilot, the whole Red John stuff really is not just teased, it's out there."

Yeoman also revealed that Rigsby and Grace Van Pelt (Amanda Righetti) will have to make a decision about their relationship.

"We've got a new boss," he explained. "Aunjanue Ellis - she's a fabulous actress, she's playing Madeleine Hightower - and she puts the pressure on myself and Amanda Righetti's character because we have to decide now truly whether it's going to be romance or career."

Asked whether Rigsby and Van Pelt will decide on romance or work, he continued: "I don't know - I think possibly a little bit of both. I think it's see what we can get away with!"

Yeoman added that Leslie Hope will reprise her role as rival psychic Kristina Frye and suggested that she could begin a romance with Patrick Jane (Simon Baker).

"There's a little amorous spark between her and Jane," he said. "So all the ladies who like to see Jane in amorous mode, and I think there's one or two of them, they will be very happy."

The Mentalist continues Thursdays at 10pm on CBS in the US and Fridays at 9pm on Five in the UK.
