Marini promoted to 'Brothers' regular

Gilles Marini has been promoted to a series regular on Brothers & Sisters.

Marini plays Luc, a love interest for Sarah Walker (Rachel Griffiths).

The programme's showrunner David Marshall Grant has now confirmed to Entertainment Weekly that Marini will return next season as a regular.

Grant also revealed that Luke Grimes, who played the Walkers' half-brother Ryan, will not be returning to the show.

Rob Lowe (Robert McAllister) has already announced that he will leave the series at the end of the season, but Grant explained that no other stars are planning to quit.

"There may be an episode or two that some [characters] might not be in," he explained. "But aside from Rob [and Luke], the [entire] cast is returning."

Brothers & Sisters continues Sundays at 10/9c on ABC in the US and Thursdays at 10pm on More4 in the UK.
