'Private Practice' characters to 'hook up'

Amy Brenneman has promised that new relationships will begin in the season finale of Private Practice.

Reports have already revealed that two characters will get engaged during the episode.

Brenneman, who plays Dr Violet Turner, has now explained that other members of the cast will also have romantic storylines.

"Almost everybody gets hooked up, but not necessarily with who you think they might get hooked up to," she told TV Guide. "It kind of reminds me of a Shakespeare play because most everybody is holding somebody's hand by the end."

The season finale of Private Practice will air Thursday, May 13 at 10/9c on ABC.
