Two stars have reportedly quit Matt LeBlanc's new programme Episodes.

The BBC/Showtime project features LeBlanc as a parody of himself who is cast in a bad remake of a British show.

Thomas Haden Church, who was due to play a TV executive who tries to make the programme more American, has now dropped out because of scheduling conflicts, TV Guide reports.

The programme features a husband and wife duo who move to Los Angeles to produce the show, but Claire Forlani, who was expected to play the wife, has also left the project.

Former Green Wing star Stephen Mangan appears as the husband and he will now be reunited with Tamsin Greig, who has been named as Forlani's replacement. It is still unclear who will take on Church's role.

Episodes has received a seven-episode order and is currently in pre-production in London.
