According to Entertainment Weekly, the programme's creator has moved the franchise to Nickelodeon and is looking to restore the show to its former glory circa 1995.
Saban is said to be hoping that the network will help to reinvigorate the children's series' appeal in the US, despite its worldwide gross of over $5bn (£3.4bn).
The move to Nickelodeon will mark Power Rangers' 18th season.
