ABC has picked up three dramas for the new season.

Entertainment Weekly says that Joely Richardson's new show The Whole Truth has been ordered by the network.

The programme, which also stars Numb3rs actor Rob Morrow, is a legal drama which focuses on both sides of each week's case.

Michael Imperioli, who previously appeared in The Sopranos, stars in ABC's new police show Detroit 1-8-7.

Meanwhile, the network has also picked up Generation Y. The series, which features Jaime King and Cloverfield's Michael Stahl-David, follows a group of former high school students in a documentary style.
