Speaking to E! Online, Aziz Ansari (Tom) admitted that the situation is "not ideal".
However, he added: "All we can control is making the show and making it great, and we're coming through on that end."
Amy Poehler, who plays Leslie, continued: "We really believe in NBC's promise that they're going to find a good home for us. We're really excited about the season we've had and the shows we've shot. I'm very confident we're going to find a good home."
Meanwhile, Nick Offerman (Ron) and Chris Pratt (Andy) explained that they are pleased with the support they have received from fans.
"Apparently there's a bit of a public outrage taking place," Offerman joked. "It makes us feel good."
Ansari added that fans will enjoy the new season when it does air, saying: "People are going to be psyched over the new episodes. It's the best stuff we've done, and I'm excited to come back whenever we do."
