The plot revolves around a woman (Raver) who delves into the mystery of her husband's murder after he dies while trying to "quell a wild teenage house party" on New Year's Eve.
Grunberg will play a detective who helps Raver's character with her investigation, which is being hampered by the secrecy of the teens at the party and their parents. The movie, inspired by a true story, will premiere on the network this summer.
The actor - who shot to fame as Matt Parkman in the now-cancelled Heroes - was recently promoted to series regular on NBC's Love Bites.
