CBS to air True North documentary

US TV network CBS will air Death of a Policeman, a True North documentary that aired on BBC One's Real Story programming strand in 2004.
CBS acquired the US broadcast rights to the programme from Granada International, Cynopsis reports, and plans to air it on its 48 Hours Mystery strand.
The documentary examines the story of an American citizen who murdered a British policeman, PC Ian Broadhurst. It picked up the "Best Network Factual Programme" award at the Royal Television Society Yorkshire Awards.
