The Cleveland Show has been renewed by Fox.

Network entertainment president Kevin Reilly confirmed that the animated comedy, spinoff to Family Guy, will run for a third season.

"Looks like somebody's getting some new rims for his big wheel! Many thanks to the handsome decision-makers at Fox," said star Mike Henry, who voices Rallo Tubbs.

The Cleveland Show, written by Seth MacFarlane, airs its second season on Sundays at 8.30pm from September.

The series, about Family Guy's Peter Griffin's former neighbour Cleveland Brown, had one of the highest-rated scripted show openers of the autumn season, scoring well among the 18-34 demographic.
