Rhona Mitra teases 'The Gates' storyline

Rhona Mitra has revealed that her character in The Gates has a difficult relationship with her husband.

The show follows a police officer, played by Frank Grillo, who moves to a mysterious gated community with his family.

Mitra, who plays vampire Claire, told TV Squad that her character often clashes with her spouse.

"There's a little bit of tension between us," she said. "I colour outside the lines, and he's not so fond of it. So I have to be sneaky if I want to do what I want to do, and he always finds out, so there's a little bit of [give and take]. But I'm doing a lot of taking."

The Gates premieres on June 20 at 10/9c on ABC.
