Persons Unknown focuses on a group of people who are taken hostage and left in a mysterious, deserted town.
Johnson, who plays Tori, told Total Sci-Fi Online: "The show has some obvious similarities to Lost. It's a group of strangers trying to figure out why they were put in this strange place and who is watching them. Both shows are in the same genre and I think fans of Lost will definitely enjoy Persons Unknown."
However, she continued: "Persons Unknown is also different and unique in that it lacks any of the supernatural aspects of Lost. I can tell you now that there are no smoke monsters or polar bears or anything like that."
Johnson admitted that with such a big build-up the resolution could be disappointing but said that she expects fans to be happy with the ending.
"Things don't always end up the way the audience had hoped or anticipated," she said. "However, by the finale of Persons Unknown the audience will know who kidnapped these people and why. I think people will be satisfied with the conclusion. It also ends with the potential to take the story further, so hopefully we'll leave audiences wanting more."
Persons Unknown continues on Mondays at 10/9c on NBC.
