'As The World Turns' scoops Daytime Emmys

As The World Turns was honoured at the Daytime Emmy Awards last night.

The ceremony paid tribute to the long-running show, which was cancelled by CBS last year.

The programme also scooped awards for 'Outstanding Lead Actress', 'Outstanding Lead Actor' and 'Outstanding Supporting Actress'.

Elsewhere, The Bold And The Beautiful won the 'Outstanding Drama Series' prize and the 'Outstanding Drama Series Writing Team' honour.

Ellen DeGeneres's programme scooped the award for 'Outstanding Talk Show - Entertainment', while NBC's Today Show was named 'Outstanding Morning Programme'.

Meanwhile, the ceremony paid tribute to Dick Clark and Agnes Nixon won the 'Lifetime Achievement' award for her work on shows including All My Children, As The World Turns, Guiding Light and Another World.
