ABC has announced plans for a new series of This Is Your Life, according to Variety.
The show originally aired in America on NBC between 1952 and 1961. The programme made its way to the UK in 1955 and remained a TV staple until its axe in 2003. Fox Television Studios will produce the new version.
"We're going to be true to what was great about this show," said Holly Jacobs, VP of alternative development. "It doesn't need to be [modernised]. What's great about the show is that it has an authenticity to it at a time when people are looking for things that are very authentic."
