CNN to expand documentary unit

CNN is axing its fluff-filled showbiz programme People in the News and expanding its award-winning CNN Presents hard documentary series.
The New York Post reports that about half the employees involved with the People series will be moving over to Presents, with the other half moving to other CNN shows. The paper also reports that the network will up its annual documentary output from 15 to 30 programmes.
