Emmy ratings up over 2004

Just under 18.6m US viewers tuned in to watch the Emmy Awards on CBS last night (Sunday), according to preliminary affiliate ratings data from Nielsen Media Research.
That figure equates to a 35% jump in viewers compared to the 2004 Emmy Awards, which aired on ABC, and is the best performance in terms of households and viewers since 2002.
