Kudrow's 'Comeback' axed
HBO axed Lisa Kudrow's comedy mockumentary Comeback yesterday, saying that they would not be able to give it the support necessary.

The show, which Kudrow created with production partner Michael Patrick King, ended its 13-show run on September 4. Reuters quote an HBO spokeswoman as saying: "We've looked at our schedule, and given our future commitments, we felt we would not be able to give the show the support it needed."

Comeback starred the former Friends actress as an out-of-luck actress trying to revive her flagging career. She told the San Francisco Chronicle recently regarding the renewal of the show: "I don't know what the criteria are for HBO right now. They usually don't say anything for a little while. I'm hoping to hear soon."
