'Will And Grace' broadcast live

The first show of the eighth season of Will And Grace was performed and broadcast live last night across the US.

Performed twice - once for viewers on the east coast and again for those on the west - the show was a great success, the only hitch being Debra Messing (Grace) and Sean Hayes' (Jack) inability to hide their amusement at the script.

The episode saw a cameo from Alec Baldwin, who received a kiss from the show's star Eric McCormack (Will). The story centred on the revelation that Karen's (Megan Mullally) husband was actually alive.

This eighth series of the sitcom will be its last.
