The executive producer told crowds at Comic-Con that the show will maintain its original vision but will contain added "mythology" to ensure that it remains interesting.
"From the beginning I think we were confident that we had a really good shot at making this series. We thought of this as an epic story that we were going to tell over many episodes. So not a one-off," he said.
"All these mysteries, characters and story development was built into the idea of having this series for many years. Nothing has really changed. We keep adding to the mythology of the show, but for the most part it's consistent with our original vision."
Lenkov also said that he was pleased with the decision to keep the show's original theme song, saying that if things worked, "why not use them?"
