Ratings powerhouse CSI: Miami on CBS was once again the most-watched show on US TV on Monday night, posting viewer figures just shy of 18.5m.
That number is significantly higher than the 16.7m it achieved last week, which was one of the show's lowest for a first run episode. Its competition during the 10pm hour lagged behind significantly; NBC's Medium (12.68m) showed signs of week-on-week improvement but was still a distant second.
At 9, comedies on CBS averaged 13.75m viewers, just a hair ahead of NBC's Las Vegas which drew 13.59m.
NBC led at 8pm with Surface (10.42m), with CBS a close second with sitcoms averaging 10.17m through the hour. ABC's Wife Swap placed third with 8.07m viewers. Being Monday night, ABC was in Monday Night Football for the rest of prime, averaging 15.72m. Fox, meanwhile, was airing live coverage of the Angels vs. Yankees game, averaging 13.7m.
