Tornado telethon raises over $1m

A telethon for victims of a devastating tornado that hit a community in Indiana last week raised $1.25m in just two hours.
23 people in Evansville, Indiana were killed by the F3 tornado. Over 800 homes in the town were wiped out.
On Wednesday night, four of the town's TV stations and five of its radio stations joined together for the special two-hour telethon. Money raised has been donated to the American Red Cross and the Salvation Army.
