The 44-year-old Extras actor has apparently impressed executives at Fox TV, who want him to have his own programme.
"Ricky has made such a huge impact in America with his series The Office and he has been a huge hit," a source told the Daily Star. "The ratings have been tremendous and he has such an amazing personality. He'd be sensational as a chat show host."
