According to Deadline, the options on the regular cast - including Colin Ferguson (Sheriff Jack Carter), Salli Richardson-Whitfield (Dr. Allison Blake) and Erica Cerra (Josephina 'Jo' Lupo) - will be picked up for the new episodes.
The series follows the inhabitants of Eureka, a high-tech community populated by brilliant scientists who build futuristic inventions.
A fourth season of the show premiered on Syfy on July 9, attracting 2.5m viewers. The figures were consistent with the 2.6m who watched the third season premiere in 2009.
Syfy has not yet made an official announcement regarding the programme's renewal.
Eureka airs on Fridays at 9/8c.
