Prison Break will be paired up with 24 when it returns to the FOX schedule in March, the network has confirmed.

The cult shows will air side-by-side on Monday nights at 8pm and 9pm respectively.

24 will air without pre-emption, beginning with a two-night, four-hour premiere on January 15 and 16.

Prison Break fills the 8pm slot from March 13 with an encore of the Fall finale before new episodes take over on March 20. New series Skating With Celebrities fills the slot until that time.

Meanwhile, American Idol will remain on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings; speculation had indicated that FOX was thinking about shifting the series out by one day to take on CSI on Thursdays. The fifth season will premiere with a two-hour auditions episode on January 17.

In related news, the freshly-cancelled Reunion will wrap on February 2.
