TV Guide reports that the actor will play a man searching for his missing son, following the clues left by a mysterious caller.
Calabro is known for playing Dr Michael Mancini in both the original Melrose Place and the 2009 reboot. He has also featured in episodes of Greek and Without a Trace.
Actress Helen Slater will also appear in the episode as the wife of Calabro's character. Slater played Supergirl in the 1984 film of the same name and also played Lara-El in a 2007 episode of Smallville.
CSI: NY returns to CBS on September 24.
