The series, which stars Jason Lee as an Elvis-loving detective, is expected to be picked up by TNT soon, according to Deadline.
The ten-part first season has attracted an average of 4.5m viewers since its June debut. The network plans to make a final decision on the show's future within the next few days.
Fellow TNT police drama Rizzoli & Isles received an early renewal last month.
The first season of Memphis Beat concluded on August 24.
