Writing on her Twitter page, the actress urged fans of the show to petition Warner Bros. in support of a film.
"Mars fans - can we bug @wbpictures and tell them they must do a Veronica Mars film?" she wrote. "New tactic. Bombard them with tweets, there's evidence of fans they can't ignore."
She added: "Fans, send petitions and any obsessive behaviour you have to @wbpictures and demand the film. They see no audience for it? I beg to differ."
Bell later told her followers that they "rule" for getting in touch with Warner Bros and posted links to petitions and Facebook groups supporting the movie.
She also decided that the official hashtag should be "#veronicamarsmovie" and told her fans: "Thank you so much for being so dedicated. You're all marshmallows."
