US 'Office' up for Writers Guild awards

The US version of The Office has been given two nominations for the annual Writers Guild of America awards.
The 11-person writing team behind the comedy, based on Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant's original version, has been nominated for 'best comedy' and 'best new series'.
Other nominated shows include medical drama Grey's Anatomy and Jason Lee sitcom My Name is Earl.
The awards ceremony will be held on February 4 in New York and Los Angeles.
