It was previously reported that former Smallville star Annette O'Toole would play a 60-year-old with early-onset Alzheimer's disease on the Fox crime drama.
Give Me My Remote has now confirmed that Beaver will play the brother-in-law of O'Toole's Veronica in the fourth episode of the third season.
His character Gus will have confined Veronica to a care facility and taken over her estate. The estranged pair will be reunited during an investigation by Cal Lightman (Tim Roth).
Beaver is known for playing Bobby Singer on Supernatural and will also appear in the premiere episode of Law & Order: Los Angeles.
The second season of Lie To Me concludes on September 13. The crime drama will return to Fox on November 10.
