'Atlantis' star teases 'SGU' crossover

The Stargate Atlantis star will reprise his role as Rodney McKay in the show's second season, alongside former co-star Robert Picardo (Richard Woolsey).
"I was a little nervous," Hewlett admitted to GateWorld. "But I think they've done a really good job of getting [our characters] in there. It's not all about McKay and it's all about Robert. It's an episode of SGU. But I think they've nicely melded the worlds together."
He added that McKay's presence will have a strong impact on the episode.
"You cannot have McKay in an episode... without... aspects of [his] personality coming through," he said. "But I think they've done a really good job of getting just enough of it in there. But not so much that it takes away from what they are doing on SGU."
Stargate Universe returns on September 28 to Syfy.
