Levi: 'Ellie more involved with Chuck'

Chuck star Zachary Levi has revealed that Ellie (Sarah Lancaster) will be more involved with his character's spy career in the upcoming fourth season.

In the third season finale, Chuck confessed the details of his secret life to his sister.

Levi told Screen Junkies: "There's still a little bit of [keeping secrets] but it's done in a slightly different way. She's [now] in on it to some extent, so it's not like [Chuck is] completely keeping her in the dark about things."

He added: "Secrets are being kept but there's still some transparency with it. So I'm not having to do the same thing I've had to do. It's a little bit different."

The actor also confirmed that Chuck's long-lost mother (played by Linda Hamilton) will first appear in the fourth season premiere and will return later in the season.

"She was in episode one [and] she's back... in episode six," he explained. "I can't talk about it but she's back."

Chuck returns to NBC on September 20.
