ABC to adapt 'Prince of Tides'
Published Thursday, Sep 16 2010, 14:44 BST | By Morgan Jeffery

Deadline claims that writers Bob Brush and Mel Harris will adapt the book by Pat Conroy.
The original story focuses on the destructive relationships of the Wingo family and their abusive father Henry.
A previous 1991 film adaptation, starring Barbara Streisand and Nick Nolte, was nominated for seven Oscars.
ABC's new hour-long drama series is expected to remain more faithful to the book than the movie, which Streisand also directed.
Author Conroy will assist the production as a non-writing consultant, while Eric and Kim Tannenbaum will executive produce alongside Running Wilde creator Mitch Hurwitz.
